Meditation Link – Mindfulness Bell

Feb 23

I don’t write much about my sitting practice.  It doesn’t make for exciting blog posts.  But, I thought I’d write a short post to share a link to a website that has been helpful to my sitting practice.  The Washington Mindfulness Community in Takoma Park has put together a wonderful website.  Lots of great links and info.  But what I wanted to share today is their Mindfulness Bell page.  This is an excellent meditation aid if you don’t have a fancy meditation timer.  I use this page during all of my sitting practices at home.  You can set the bell to ring at intervals or at an exact time.  I’ve even use it at work on the interval setting as a reminder to slow down and be more mindful during the day.  I’m partial to the “big bell” sound option instead of the “small bell.”

I’ll leave my thoughts on my sitting practice for a later post.  It’s a difficult subject to talk about…which is why I dedicate most of my posts to the physical aspects of yoga.

Enough boring stuff….how about a gymnastics montage?!?  This is actually a very well put together montage…as far as sports montages go.  Happy Tuesday!  Only 4 more days until the weekend…
